Wild Boy by Au Bon Climat Chardonnay – Santa Barbara County, California
Bold, vibrant and beautifully balanced.
Wild Boy is the modern, fruit-forward Chardonnay from legendary Californian producer Au Bon Climat. Known for crafting some of the most respected wines in Santa Barbara County, winemaker Jim Clendenen created this cuvée to show the richer, more exuberant side of Californian Chardonnay – without losing elegance or freshness.
Expect generous flavours of ripe peach, baked apple and citrus, with hints of vanilla, toasted nuts and gentle spice from careful oak ageing. It’s creamy and rounded on the palate, yet lifted by bright acidity that keeps everything fresh and beautifully in balance.
In the glass:
Medium to full-bodied with ripe fruit, soft oak and a long, vibrant finish.
Perfect with:
Roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, grilled fish, lobster, buttery cheeses or a relaxed evening with friends.
