Pico del Castro is a classic, small-production Ribera del Duero crafted by Vinícola La Calera from a single Tempranillo vineyard planted in 1989. Made with organic farming practices and minimal intervention, it offers a more thoughtful, expressive take on this famous Spanish region.

Deep crimson in colour, the wine shows rich aromas of blackberry, liquorice and dark cherry, layered with subtle notes of vanilla, cocoa and gentle spice from brief ageing in older French oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with a creamy texture, crunchy black fruit and a distinctive mineral edge reflecting the limestone soils of Quintanilla de Arriba.

Powerful yet balanced, with ripe fruit, elegant oak and a long, savoury finish.

Perfect with:
Roast beef, lamb leg, pork with crackling or hearty Spanish-style dishes.
