Think you know your wine? Put it to the test. Join us for a wine tasting with a difference, as we play our way through six wines from around the world – with a little game of Higher or Lower along the way.
Before each new wine is revealed, we'll give you something to go on. will the next wine be higher or lower in alcohol? More or less expensive? Grown at a higher or lower altitude? Older or younger? Sweeter or drier? Make your choice, then we'll pour the wine and find out. Don't worry, you absolutely do not need to know loads about wine to play. In fact, that's rather the point.
Along the way we'll explore how things like climate, altitude, grape variety, winemaking and ageing affect what's actually in your glass – so hopefully you'll leave understanding wine a little better than when you arrived. And because this is pour., there'll be carefully matched food pairings to enjoy alongside the wines too. Will you make it all the way to the end without getting one wrong?
